Thanks for the update Scott. If I can request any order of priority, it would definitely be getting the Feedback Center and Property Agent integrated into the journals first. I know I have said this before, but I really would like to re-launch my home-education-based site concurrently with the start of the new school year in late August / early September. Once I start the migration from a pre-DNN 6.2 Active Social site to a DNN 6.2 Social site there really isn't any turning back. So I am trying to understand the priorities of the main module developers with whom I have standardized for this site; and you are definitely one of them. Do you foresee the possibility of having your main modules (other than News Articles mentioned in your post) integrated with the journals in August?

As a thought leader in the DNN ecosystem, I would like to hear from you about how you might be leveraging the notification engine with your modules. Would a typical use case for notifications be something like sending a notification directly to a user when someone Rates, Votes or Subscribes to an Article, or Feedback or Property Listing owned by that user? I am just curious if those are the types of things for which the notification engine is intended and would love to hear your thoughts on this new area of DNN.

Thanks Scott, really looking forward to the enhancements.

I second the thoughts on notifications, particularly for things that need action like approving new comments.

Just curious, since it is August 3 and the 6.2 Journal integration for News Articles was scheduled by the end of July, do you have a new estimate on when that will be ready?

    Thanks

My subscription recently ran out and I was waiting on the DNN 6.2 integration before renewing. Is there a way for me to see when new things are released since the downloads page doesn't show me anymore? The What's New on the support site shows stuff from a year ago. I know you are just ramping up this new approach to support and forums using zendesk. Hopefully you can let me know where to find the latest info, if there is any. Thanks.

Hi Scott, great looking update to the site! I have been holding off from upgrading to DNN 6.1.2 until your modules (which is the core of http://www.PokerDIY.com) support the journal (I have had it all working so nicely with ActiveSocial for the last 2 years... such a step backwards!) - this was scheduled for end of July - did this go ahead?

I had 6.2 integrated about 2 weeks ago. This was basic integration that allowed article/comments/ratings to be posted to the activity feed.

A particular client wanted to use the category security so this had made the integration quite a bit more difficult. As I have to now match up category permissions to social groups. I should get back to this on the weekend.

Scott do you think that once you complete this full integration for Articles then the experience you gained will allow you to quickly upgrade PA and the Feedback Center? Or is this not a priority for you at the present? After waiting a year and a half, so many of us are trying to make the move from Active Social over to DNN 6.2 and once Will M has the migration scripts complete then the possibility exists that we will all get stuck unless our major DNN vendors get their main modules integrated as well. I really can't just turn off major parts of my site just to get onto DNN 6.2, so I really feel stuck. I know this isn't your responsibility, but I am really hoping that this can be a short term priority for you and if I need to subsidize it some I will and others probably will as well.

So any idea what we are looking at from a time frame perspective now on the various pieces?  I'm particularly interested in NA journal integration and forms UI.  Secondarily the same for PA.

    Thanks.

Hi Scott, Do you have an update on progress with 6.2 journal integration? Cheers

I have a build which publishes to the journal but it is not current with the most recent.

I have to resolve the category hierarchy this week before moving news articles to a new minimum version of 6.2 that will include journal integration.

Hi Scott, not sure if this is 6.2 related: how do you plan updating your modules to the folder providers (I've posted a suggestion in the File Links space to make it compatible with a dropbox folder for example)

Hi Scott, when can we expect taxonomy integration (aka DNN core tag system)? Greetings Peter

Update please! Been waiting as patiently as possible for many months.  I've had to switch to EasyDNNnews for now, but I would like to switch back when NA is "modernized".

    Thanks.

totalgolf - I've had a build for 6.2 for the past 2 months, I've offered people this build if they need it for social integration. Contact me if you need it.

A major site I am working on is running 6.1.5, so while I have put in a lot of enhancements for that site (not released yet), I am waiting for it to move to 6.2 before releasing this in the central build.

    Scott,

We need just the Journal intergration for NA and SG. I'm a bit confused by all that reading. You will support 6.2 or 7 ? And when ?

It is important to know so we can plan our business also.

    thanks

    Cziv,

I can give you a build of news articles that already does this.

Or if you can wait to mid-Jan, it will be released after Social Images.

    Scott,

I can wait as long as the dates promised are kept .... more or less.

    Thanks
