    Hi Scott,

    what is the token for showing the category image in the News Archive module?

    thanks,

    Hans

    Hans - which template? I don't think there is a token at the moment. An article can belong to many categories, so it wouldn't work on the article template.

    I ambusjng the news archive module. This one shows every category includibg the count of articles in that category. I want to show the image of that category (which i uploaded when i created a new category) in front of the categoryname in that line.

    I'm not sure there is a token on that screen - I would need to add one in.

    That would be great, Scott. Currently, we are invited to associate a picture to a category - which is fine - but there is no way to display that image ! [CATEGORYIMAGE] is missing. Thanks.

    Is there a token for the User's profile pic?  Looks like the profile property is being saved as the FileID so [AUTHOR:Photo] doesn't won't work.

    @John,

    You have the [USERID] so if you want the DNN 6.2 user profile, use

    /profilepic.ashx?userid=[USERID]

    Hi Guys,

    Can someone tell me how I can wrap text around image token.

    This is the original code

    <TR><TD><span class="afticleCalendar">[CREATEDATE]</span></TD></TR><TR><TD>[EDIT]<span class="normal"><a href="[LINK]">[TITLE]</a> [UPDATETIME]</span></TD></TR><TR><TD>[IMAGETHUMB:60] <span class="normal">[SUMMARY:100]</span></TD></TR>

    I just want the [IMAGETHUMB:60] left with text wrapping around it with 3px border.

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thanks,

    Buck

    Buck, here is what I would try :

    <TR><TD><span style="float:left;">[IMAGETHUMB:60] </span><span class="normal">[SUMMARY:100]</span></TD></TR>

    Thanks Thomas,

    Great answer worked a treat no I understanding on how it works,

    Question: Is it hard to get the date icon to work so it looks like main post....this is the only one I don't understand...how does it get icon style when there are 12 months.

    Kind regards,

    Buck

    I'll leave Scott to this one, not sure what you mean.

    Buck, the date icon is not just one... it is 12 different icons that change by classes. I don't recall how Scott did that (havent's used the default template even for reference the past 3 years to be honest) but you can input 12 different classes into your style (e.g. december, november) and then use the token when calling the class into your html template like : class="[PUBLISHSTARTDATE:MMMM]"

    This is only a rough example but it's the simplest I can think of right now.

    I would like to add a shorter title in the Meta Title so that I can reference it on the Latest Article module.  What is the tag for it so I can add it to my template?

  • Avatar
    Scott McCulloch

    @leannemreed, I'm not sure there is a token for meta title in the latest articles but you could create a custom field called "shorttitle" and reference it using [CUSTOM:ShortTitle]

    I am also looking for [CategoryImage] to show in a article. Yes. some articles may have more than one category. If there are more categories, more images. I am using 0.9.3. Please can you advise if this is possible to do with the module.

    How can  call Category description or keywords to an article post? If this is possible, I can add the image link to the one of these fields for now and add it to the image path in the template.;

    Please advise.

    Scott, is there any way to use DNN Tokens in the article content similar to the html token replacement? I'd like the articles to replace [DNN:TAB:KEYWORDS] for example with the keywords from the tab being used.

    Hey Devesh,

    you can try the following:

    <img src="/profilepic.ashx?userid=[AUTHORID]" alt="[AUTHOR]" />

    Live example:

    http://www.babyandme.gr/Articles/ID/253

    Hope it helps :)

    If it returns -1 then the user who posted the comment is not a member of your site, he/she is not registered.

    Hope it helps!

    Hi,

    I would like to add Facebook share link at bottom part of news articles besides existing links permalink , del.icio.us etc. Could you please advise, which template I have to modify for this

    Thanks
  • Avatar
    Loukas

    Hey Yenpee, you need to modify the listing.item.htm. You can either do it via the admin options of the module and then clicking on templates or via ftp or via webmatrix. Whatever suits you :) Please do tell if you need more assistance.
